2018 will see the biggest and best Tramlines to date at our new home in Hillsborough Park.
We knew that ten years of Tramlines meant we had to do something special to celebrate. So we are super excited to share that for this very special edition of the festival, for the very first time, one site will host all the amazing stages and experiences on offer. This new and improved approach will give us the opportunity to transform the park and showcase for you some of the best music, food and drinks and cultural experiences our city has to offer, within one very special place
When you consider all of that with an announcement in the new year of what promises to be by far, our biggest, most exciting and most expansive line up to date, 2018 promises to be pretty damn exciting. We cannot wait to share the full details of what is in store for you.
During our search for a venue that could accommodate the festival we looked at many of the parks in and around Sheffield – pretty much every grassed area that looked like it might be suitable.
Our new home is definitely the best option. It offers amazing transport links, is easily accessible to the city centre and can allow us the flexibility to bring you the best festival possible. We want to introduce more options for families, broader programming of acts and more things to see, do, eat and drink than we ever have before.
A working group has been set up to address residents’ concerns about noise, traffic, vandalism and the specific parts of the park we will use. Working closely with and supporting our incredible local residents is a very important part of what Tramlines has always been and will always continue to be about.
We are also working closely with Sheffield City Council on the city centre proposition to ensure that it remains a core part of the weekend and more information on those plans will be released in the new year – alongside even more exciting news.
Tell your mates, tell your mum, save the date – July 20th-22nd, 2018.
See you in the park,
18 January 2018
